The Woodlands is Worth Protecting
The Woodlands is already an exceptional place to live. I’m not running to reinvent it. I’m running to preserve what works, protect what matters, and bring independent judgment to the decisions that shape our community.
I believe every resident deserves a voice, whether they’ve been involved in Township government for years or have never attended a meeting. Important decisions should be made with transparency, accountability, and meaningful public input.
I’ll support what’s working, question what isn’t, and always remember who the Township Board is there to serve...the residents of The Woodlands.

I came to America as a five-year-old refugee after my family escaped Vietnam during the Fall of Saigon. This country gave my family freedom, opportunity and a future. A big part of my life since has been about finding ways to give something back.
That took me into the Army, where I served in three wars. It took me into global business leadership, where I led people, managed complex operations and learned what real accountability looks like. And it has kept me involved with veterans, businesses, nonprofits and the communities around me.
Today, Valarie and I are raising our family in The Woodlands. We chose this community for the same reasons so many others have... the safety, the trees, the neighborhoods and the quality of life that make this place special.
Those are the things that made us choose The Woodlands, and they're the things I want to help protect for the families who call it home today and the ones who will come after us.
That's why I'm running - to preserve what works, protect what matters, and put residents first.
Residents First
Your Voice Should Matter
Every Resident Deserves a Voice
You shouldn’t have to know the right people or attend Township meetings to have a voice in the decisions that affect your community.
Transparency Before Decisions
I believe residents deserve meaningful access to information before major decisions are made, not simply an explanation after the fact.
Independent Judgement
I’ll support what works, question what doesn’t, and explain my decisions. My responsibility is to residents, not political factions.
My Priorities
Protect What Makes The Woodlands Home
Public Safety
I’ll support law enforcement, firefighters and first responders, strengthen emergency preparedness for hurricanes, freezes and flooding, and work to keep The Woodlands one of America’s safest communities while protecting residents’ rights and privacy.
Preserve Our Quality of Life
I’ll protect the trees, parks, pathways, neighborhoods and village character that make The Woodlands special. These aren’t amenities around the edges - they’re a big part of why we chose to call this community home and what makes it worth protecting.
Fiscal Responsibility
I’ll scrutinize major spending, contracts and investments, maintain strong finances, and demand measurable value for every taxpayer dollar. My experience managing complex organizations and budgets has taught me that
accountability matters.
Smart Growth & Mobility
I’ll approach development, traffic, mobility and infrastructure with the long-term character of The Woodlands in mind. Growth should strengthen our community, protect property values, and not sacrifice the things that make people want to live here.

Experience That Fits The Job
I’ve spent my life serving, learning and leading. Those experiences have taught me how to make difficult decisions, manage competing priorities and take responsibility for the results.
Soldier
I served more than 13 years in the U.S. Army, including Desert Storm, Afghanistan and Iraq.
Military service taught me the importance of preparation, clear communication and leadership under pressure - experience I believe is especially valuable when our community faces emergencies.
Scholar
I graduated from Harvard Business School’s Program for Leadership Development and earned my B.S., Magna Cum Laude, from Trident University International.
I’ve always believed that leadership requires continued learning, disciplined thinking and the willingness to make better decisions.
Business Leader
My career at SLB/Cameron included regional health, safety and environment leadership across approximately 22,000 employees, 24 facilities and 11 business units, leading a team of 24 HSE managers.
That experience taught me how to manage people, budgets, risk and complex operations while staying accountable for the results.
Family & Home
The Community We Chose to Call Home
Valarie and I chose The Woodlands to raise our family for many of the same reasons our neighbors did - the safety, the trees, the neighborhoods and the quality of life that make this place special.
I want our children to grow up enjoying those same things. I want them to have the freedom to explore the outdoors, the security of strong neighborhoods, and the sense of community that made us choose this place.
And I want the decisions we make today to protect that quality of life for the families who call The Woodlands home now and the ones who will come after us.
For me, protecting The Woodlands isn’t theoretical. It’s personal.
